CONTRIBUTE TO TEXAS ROSE!
.
There are many ways to give , and not all of them involve monetary contributions.
• Come on down! Support us just by showing up.
• Introduce someone new to Texas Rose.
• Put a dollar or two in the tip jar at the front entrance.
• See if your company offers matching donations or grants for volunteer time served.
• Remember Texas Rose in your estate planning.
• Volunteer. Another important way of giving, and we can really use the help.
Texas Rose has been approved by the IRS as an exempt non profit organization under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are dedicated to promoting and encouraging the living tradition of American Country Western Dance primarily for but not limited to queer womxn and transgender people.
Our mission is to encourage and promote the living tradition of American country western dancing and related dance and music forms through instruction, performance, and the presentation of public dance events primarily for but not limited to LGBTQ womxn and transgender people.
Our community-based organization was created in 2009 by a group of volunteers who share a special interest in preserving country-western dancing for our community.
Our non-profit designation assures the community that all proceeds are channeled back into the various projects of the organization: by law, the directors and officers of Texas Rose are prohibited from profiting from the activities of the corporation. We are proud that Texas Rose always has been and continues to be an all-volunteer-run organization. No one has ever made any profit from the dance and now it's official.
There are other distinct advantages to a nonprofit designation. We are exempt from federal and state taxes. In addition, donations made to Texas Rose are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
